About Northstar Pharmacy

At Northstar Pharmacy, we are committed to delivering outstanding patient care and providing a professional, friendly, and efficient pharmacy service to our local community. We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Pharmacy Dispenser to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a key role in supporting the pharmacist with the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions while delivering excellent customer service. You will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy and contribute to providing the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately dispense NHS and private prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist.
Assemble and label prescribed medicines in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with general enquiries.
Process prescriptions using the pharmacy PMR system.
Maintain accurate patient and medication records.
Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, checking, and rotating stock.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and confidentiality requirements.
Assist with prescription collection and delivery processes where required.
Support pharmacy services and health promotion initiatives.
Keep the dispensary clean, organised, and operating efficiently.

About You

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working in a community pharmacy.
Dispensing experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good IT and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
Accredited Checking or Accuracy Checking qualifications.
Experience with NHS services and Pharmacy First.
Knowledge of PMR systems such as ProScript Connect, Titan, or similar.
