Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking for the opportunity to deliver projects that make a real difference to communities?

Do you want to work on a varied portfolio of highway, infrastructure and regeneration schemes, have ownership of your projects and help shape how services are delivered?

Were looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Design Services Team and play a key role in delivering an ambitious programme of capital projects across Stockton-on-Tees.

From concept through to completion, youll have the opportunity to lead complex projects, influence decisions and help shape the future of the borough.

What youll be doing

Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you will:

Deliver a significant programme of civil engineering and highway design projects.
Manage projects, budgets and resources from inception through to completion.
Develop innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
Provide technical advice and support across a range of services.
Support the management of the Councils highway structures.
Work closely with developers, contractors, consultants and partner organisations.
Support and mentor junior members of the team.
Contribute to service improvements and the development of future engineering solutions.

About you

You will have:

A degree or recognised professional qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience delivering complex highway or infrastructure schemes.
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience using AutoCAD and related engineering software.
Knowledge of construction-related legislation and standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A passion for innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.
