Medical Secretary

Part-Time 24 hours: Monday-Friday

Essential Criteria: Primary Care Experience

Please note that prior experience as a Medical Secretary within a GP practice is an essential requirement for this role. Unfortunately, we cannot consider applications without this specific background.

Practice with list size of circa 14,500
Paper light
Practice team includes GP's, Practice Nurses, Nurse Prescriber, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist and HCAs
EMIS Web and Docman 10 practice.

An opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary/Administrator to join our friendly and forward thinking team.

The position involves all aspects of secretarial work including dealing with patient queries, dealing with insurance reports, processing dictations, managing referrals, as well as other secretarial, reception and administrative duties.

We are looking for someone who shares our commitment and passion to providing high quality patient care. We are committed to providing a patient-centred, professional service, in a happy, supportive and well-organised working environment. Applicants should be motivated, flexible and have excellent communication skills. In return we offer a competitive salary, 5 weeks annual leave, bank holidays, NHS pension and a commitment to your training and development.

Medical secretary experience is essential:

You will need to have good communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team
Good IT and keyboard skills
Able to multi-task and keep calm under pressure
Customer focused and willing to go the extra mile
Flexibility is required for covering staff absences
Previous admin experience.
