Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship in accordance with project specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for metalwork and fabrication, looking to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment. The position involves working with various tools and materials, requiring precision, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

Duties

Perform MAG/MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety standards
Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures
Conduct inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality expectations

Experience

Proven experience in MIG/MAG welding, with a strong understanding of welding principles and techniques
Knowledge of welding standards and practices is advantageous
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery such as shears, grinders, and drills
Experience working with sheet metal and in fabrication environments
Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics accurately
Prior experience in assembly processes is desirable but not essential
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency

Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour
