Marketing Manager
Location: Remote (with travel to our Group Birkenhead office as required)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to lead and deliver our marketing strategy, with a strong focus on technology, innovation, and growth.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of our marketing direction – shaping campaigns, managing content, and ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging across all channels. From strategy through to execution, you’ll play a key role in driving brand awareness, lead generation and pipeline growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy
- Develop and own the overall marketing strategy in collaboration with the Chief Technology Officer
- Align marketing activity with company vision and objectives, technology positioning and innovation messaging
- Define target audiences, value propositions and go-to-market approaches
- Track, measure and report on marketing performance
- Manage the marketing budget and prioritise spend across channels and campaigns
Marketing Bank & Persona Management
- Own, maintain and continually update the Marketing Bank as the single source of truth for marketing content
- Define, document and maintain marketing personas
- Ensure all content is sourced from the Marketing Bank and converted for the relevant persona in line with Marketing Bank guidelines
- Govern brand consistency, tone of voice and messaging across all assets and channels
Brand Guidelines & Enforcement
- Own and maintain the company brand guidelines, covering logo usage, colour palette, typography, tone of voice and messaging
- Communicate and embed brand guidelines across the company so all teams understand and apply them
- Enforce consistent use of the brand across all departments, channels and customer-facing materials
- Review marketing, sales, bid and operational content to ensure it adheres to brand standards
- Act as the central point of approval for brand-related queries and sign-off
- Keep brand guidelines up to date as the company, products and positioning evolve
Prospecting & CRM Management
- Manage prospecting campaigns end to end using the prospecting CRM in collaboration with the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Create persona-specific, parameter-driven marketing campaigns
- Trigger and manage content pushes to clients and prospects from CRM campaigns
- Work with Client Managers to ensure opportunities, interactions and prospect details are captured
- Generate prospect reports for the CCO and board meetings and support pipeline forecasting
- Maintain data quality and ensure CRM use complies with relevant data protection requirements (e.g. GDPR)
Content Creation & Asset Management
Create and manage marketing content alongside the designer, including:
- Social media content
- Newsletters and emails
- Brochures and printed collateral
- Website content (ColX Group website and brand website)
- Other marketing assets as required
- Schedule and manage email/newsletter campaigns, including prospects added from CRM campaigns
- Schedule and manage social media posts
- Ensure content is tailored to the correct persona and channel
Event Management & Stand Design
- Plan and organise company events, exhibitions, roadshows and trade stands end to end, including objectives, budgets, logistics and timelines
- Design event stands and supporting materials in line with brand guidelines
- Manage suppliers, bookings and on-site delivery for events
- Run events on the day, coordinating staff, materials and attendee engagement
- Ensure leads are captured back into the CRM against events and report on event outcomes
- Support company days and agent-facing events
- Apply learnings to continuously improve future events
Tender & Bid Support
- Support the Bid Team with marketing content for tender responses
- Collaborate with the Bid Team to ensure tender content reflects current brand messaging and positioning
Collaboration
- Work closely with the CTO, CCO, designer, Bid Team, Client Managers and wider business
- Brief and manage external agencies, suppliers and freelancers where required
- Provide marketing insight and reporting to the board
- Continuously improve marketing processes, tooling and efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a marketing management or senior marketing role
- Strong background in developing and delivering marketing strategies
- Experience with content creation across digital and offline channels
- Experience managing brand guidelines and maintaining consistency
- Knowledge of lead generation and CRM-driven campaigns
- Event planning and delivery experience
- Strong copywriting, communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
