This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing, dedicated sales team, helping us build the foundations on which we can continue to build our global presence. This is a remote role open to anyone based in the United Kingdom, but within commuting distance to one of the major cities with an international airport. You must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Your mission
You will help to execute our business development strategy by forging and nurturing great relationships. You'll build connections based on truly, deeply knowing what internal communicators need from market-leading analytics and insights, supported by an exceptional full-cycle sales process that you'll help us evolve over time.
What you’ll be doing
The ideal candidate will be a target-driven business development professional and relationship builder. Day-to-day you will be:
- Proactively generating new leads through direct outreach, cold calling, and networking - you're not afraid to pick up the phone and create opportunities
- Handling the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
- Executing best-in-class sales-to-customer success handover to ensure a seamless experience for the customer
- Actively immersing yourself in the internal communications industry - this is a job for someone who loves networking, loves meeting others, and loves discovering the challenges they face
- Developing creative approaches to help SWOOP Analytics stand out - we're looking for innovative thinkers who go beyond standard sales approaches
- Taking full control of your pipeline and proactively sharing progress, challenges, and wins with key stakeholders
- Tracking and reporting on sales metrics while managing your pipeline effectively
- Actively building internal relationships - especially those in marketing, customer success, and product development - to ensure a strong connection between what we promise and what we deliver
- Taking ownership for consistently meeting your business development targets
- Staying current with industry trends and market dynamics
What you’ll need
- Proven track record in business development with examples of consistently hitting targets
- Experience creating standout approaches in competitive environments - we want to learn about specific examples of how you've helped your company differentiate itself
- We’re looking for someone who thrives on growth - who reflects on performance, seeks feedback, and is constantly sharpening their sales approach in a remote setting
- Willing and able to work flexibly across time zones to accommodate global collaboration and prospect needs.
- Proven success selling into Employee Experience functions, eg. Internal Communications, People & Culture, Digital Workplace, ideally with data/insights-led value propositions.
- Natural ability and appetite to generate leads and build relationships
- Outstanding communication skills with a tendency to overcommunicate
- Exceptional organisational abilities to be able to handle multiple workflows through to completion
- Comfort with travelling to meet prospects and attend industry events in-person (within United Kingdom, Europe and North America).
- Committed to personal growth - actively seeking and acting feedback from colleagues and managers
- Ability to work across global time zones, with flexibility to adjust hours for regular collaboration with Australia-based leadership and US teams.
