General Kitchen Assistant Grade 2 – 23.75 hours per week term time only x 1, 13.75 hours per week x 1 term time only

£13.05 per hour

About Us

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Catering Services has a proud record of achievements and prides itself on its dynamic workforce through its School Catering Service. Our catering teams are skilled in transforming seasonal ingredients into nutritious cooked meals that help to educate young people to support healthier lifestyles.

About the role

Catering Services are looking for self–motivated and enthusiastic individual to support Ferndale Comprehensive. Duties will include different elements of food preparation and food serving, as well as washing up and cleaning in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The service operates term time only, Monday to Friday with working hours ranging between 9 a.m. & 2.30 pm.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have the following attributes: -

You must be dedicated and reliable
Possess good Communication skills
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Ability to follow instructions

All successful applicants must have a food safety Certificate – Level 2 or a willingness to work towards gaining the qualification.
