Full job description

Prestatyn Town Council have a vacancy for a Community Liaison Officer which requires excellent organisational skills, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently when required.

The role involves helping deliver the councils Bio-diversity Policy and Plan, organising community events, publishing and administration of the Town Councils social media and website, preparing of documentation to support meetings and planning. You will also be responsible for maximising the councils grant income to help deliver our work for the community.

A good standard of education is required as is a good understanding of Microsoft IT software. As well as these areas you will also be expected to deal with the public as well as some receptionist duties and office administration including minute taking and the preparation of agenda items.

This is a full-time post of 37 hours with a current salary of £26,403 NJC SCP 7 (subject to job evaluation in the first 3 months in role}. In addition, there are generous holidays and an employer pension.

The council is offering a 2-year contract with a 3 month probation period. The post maybe extended beyond the term with a suitable performance and successful completion of the probation.
