Full job description

St. Chamond’s is a well-established, family-run nursing home providing high-quality care to elderly residents in Prestatyn, North Wales. We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse to join our team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave from 1 July 2026, expected to last between 9 and 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a high standard of nursing care to elderly residents.
Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans.
Carry out ongoing assessments and monitor residents’ health and wellbeing.
Administer medication in line with NMC guidelines and home policies.
Manage and support residents with chronic health conditions.
Supervise, support, and guide care staff in day-to-day practice.
Promote dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life for all residents.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC PIN.
Strong clinical skills and sound judgement.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Experience in elderly care or a nursing home environment (preferred but not essential).
Ability to work days and nights on a rota, including some weekends and bank holidays.
A positive, team-focused attitude with a genuine commitment to person‑centred care.
Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
