Job Description

The role of the Branch Manager involves overseeing the daily operations of the branch, leading the team and ensuring high standards of customer service and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include:-

· Managing staff: Overseeing the training and development of the staff to ensure high performance and customer service.

· Sales and performance: Developing and achieving sales goals, controlling margins, and optimising sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

· Customer service: Ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive customer relationship through effective communication and problem-solving

· Operational efficiency: Overseeing compliance and regulation (ISO Standards) and optimising resource use to improve efficiency

· Team Development: Leading, motivating, and empowering the team to deliver exceptional services and contribute to the branch's success and expansion

· Financial performance: Monitoring financial performance, controlling costs, and ensuring the branch operated within budgetary constraints.

· Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all relevant company policies and procedures as well as a solid understanding of the company's operations and industry sector. You should also have experience in managing a branch or similar experience, demonstrating the ability to drive business growth and maintain a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:· Managing daily operations: Overseeing sales, customer service, and administration.· Developing business strategies: Increasing performance goals and enhancing team performance.· Building customer relationships: Maintaining good working relationships with your team and customers;· Leading and mentoring staff: Achieving performance goals and enhancing team performance.· Ensuring compliance: Adhering to company policies and procedures, industry regulations and legal standards.· Implementing marketing initiatives: Promoting the company’s services and products.· Preparing reports: Analysing branch performance and presenting to senior management to ensure business growth and ensuring operational excellence within the company. · Meeting and greeting customers in the store and at the trade counter;

Requirements:· Excellent customer service skills;· Driven to achieve high standards;· Ability to communicate at all levels professionally;· Ability to work under pressure;· High level of self-motivation;· Good organisational skills;· Ability to work under your own initiative;· A full clean driver's licence;· Organised and structured approach to work and tasks;· Previous experience in a similar (Engineering/Plumbing/Motor trade/DIY marketplace) is not essential.· Knowledge of the local market is an advantage.· Excellent communication skills.
