Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MSK Physio Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging, with a focus on physiotherapy and sonography techniques. This role involves performing detailed ultrasound examinations to assist in diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, and a commitment to professional development within a hospital environment.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive ultrasound scans of musculoskeletal structures, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints, to support physiotherapy assessments.
Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, radiologists, and medical staff to interpret imaging results accurately.
Ensure all ultrasound procedures adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting findings clearly for medical review.
Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures thoroughly and addressing patient concerns effectively.
Assist in the development of imaging protocols tailored to pediatric and adult patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Keep equipment well-maintained, calibrated, and compliant with health regulations to ensure optimal performance.
Participate in ongoing professional training to stay current with advances in sonography techniques and musculoskeletal physiology.

Requirements

Proven experience working as a sonographer within a hospital or clinical setting, particularly with musculoskeletal imaging.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to musculoskeletal health.
Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically.
Familiarity with hospital procedures, safety standards, and equipment maintenance protocols.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Relevant certification or registration as a sonographer or radiographer is required; additional qualifications in physiotherapy are advantageous.
Basic understanding of pathology related to musculoskeletal disorders will support accurate imaging interpretation.
