At Wessex Country Gammons Ltd, we specialise in producing high-quality ham products for wholesalers, retailers, and local businesses across the UK. We pride ourselves on our professional service, excellent products, and looking after our colleagues.

Based in Woolsbridge Industrial Estate, Three Legged Cross, we operate across five industrial units and employ over 35 dedicated team members.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Raw Production Operative to join our production team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role working within our raw production department, preparing pork products to the high standards our customers expect.

Main duties will include:

Processing raw pork products through various stages of production
Trimming, injecting, curing, tumbling, forming, and loading products into cookers
Following structured production processes to maintain consistency and quality
Maintaining excellent hygiene, food safety, and health & safety standards at all times
Working efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
Operating machinery and equipment (full training provided)

You will be trained to the required standards in trimming raw meat and supported throughout your development within the role.

Ability to work as part of a team
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
Good communication skills
Ability to follow set procedures and processes accurately
Previous food production or butchery experience is beneficial but not essential
Ability to demonstrate your right to work in the UK

Shift Details:

Monday to Friday
7:00AM start
40 hours per week
Job done basis
No weekends or evening work
