Location: Ground Up
Hours: 20 hours per week (part-time)

About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and reliable Grill Chef to join the team at Ground Up. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency, and enjoys cooking quality food to a high standard.

The contracted hours are 20 hours per week, however, additional hours may be available during busy periods, holidays, staff absence, or to support business needs. Flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items to Ground Up standards.
Operate the grill and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure all food is prepared consistently and presented to company standards.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
Assist with food preparation, stock rotation, and deliveries.
Follow all food safety, allergen, and HACCP procedures.
Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
Support other areas of the kitchen when required.
Help minimise waste and report any stock shortages or equipment issues.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred, but not essential (grill experience preferred). We can provide training for the right candidate.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality food.
Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Working Hours

20 contracted hours per week.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Working days would mainly be Thursday to Sunday.
Additional hours may be required to meet the needs of the business and will be paid accordingly.
