Location: Billericay (in person) | Full-time

We're looking for a Technical Designer with excellent AutoCAD, technical drawing and 3D modelling skills who enjoys solving problems, developing practical construction solutions and seeing their designs become reality.

The Role

Working closely with Project Managers, Production and Workshop teams, you'll transform creative concepts into accurate technical drawing and construction drawing packs that enable our carpenters and fabricators to deliver world-class projects across the events, exhibitions, film and scenic construction industries.

You'll be responsible for:

Producing high-quality 2D technical drawings, construction drawings and installation packs using AutoCAD.
Creating 3D models and renders for client approvals and workshop production.
Developing practical construction methods and assembly solutions for bespoke event structures.
Converting 3D models into manufacturing drawings and components.
Collaborating with Project Managers, Production and Workshop teams to support build planning, materials and fabrication.
Managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

We're looking for someone with:

Experience as a Technical Designer, CAD Designer or Draughtsperson within the events, exhibitions, scenic construction, theatre or film industries.
Advanced AutoCAD skills with the ability to produce accurate technical and construction drawings independently.
Strong 2D drafting, 3D modelling and technical drawing production experience.
Knowledge of joinery, carpentry, fabrication or scenic construction methods.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
A practical, solutions-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
