Full job description

Tidyco is a multi-divisional engineering company based in Derby, since 1973, and are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our current engineering team.

Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a HVAC / Overhaul Engineer to join us on a permanent basis in our busy engineering overhaul division. We are looking for a self-motivated person who is able to plan their day using the reports on our internal database and complete work in an organised and timely fashion. A lot of the work we do is rail related so experience of working in the industry would be advantageous.

This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.30pm.

Responsibilities:

Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical equipment.
Stripping and rewiring of electrical components as well as electrical testing.
Ensure all Health and Safety procedures and adhered to at all times.
Using in house reporting ensure all work is quoted and completed on time.
Ensure your workspace in clean and organised at all times.

Skills:

Proficient in brazing and soldering pipe circuits
Experience of working within a similar role / industry.
Effective and professional communication skills - verbal and written.
Detailed oriented and ability to multitask.
Logical troubleshooting skills.
Able to work individually or as part of a team.
Full clean driving licence

Desirable:

Experience of working on Rail HVAC chiller units and compressors
Ability to use crimping tools
FGAS qualified
