We are a growing and dynamic UK specialist protective security company providing professional security solutions across a range of sectors. As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive HR Generalist to support our managers and employees across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced SME environment, where no two days are the same and your contribution will directly influence the success of the business.

The Role

As our HR Generalist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR support while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies. You will work closely with managers to provide practical HR advice and help create a positive, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Manage recruitment campaigns from vacancy approval through to onboarding.
Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation.
Support managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance issues.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
Update Sage Payroll for new starters.
Coordinate induction programmes and mandatory training.
Monitor probation periods and employee performance reviews.
Support payroll by providing accurate HR data.
Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, GDPR, and company policies.
Assist with HR reporting and workforce planning.
Promote employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and processes.

About You

You'll be an organised and approachable HR professional who enjoys building relationships and providing practical solutions.

Essential

Previous experience in a generalist HR role.
CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
Sound knowledge of UK employment law.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable

Experience within the security or service industry.
Knowledge of SIA licensing requirements.
Experience supporting payroll administration.
Experience working within an SME business.
