Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment, maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the process. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a warehouse environment.

Duties

Accurately pack products according to specifications and quality standards.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all items meet company requirements.
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
Assist in picking and packing orders, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Perform heavy lifting as required, moving products safely within the warehouse.
Utilise warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and processing shipments.
Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed.
Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Using IT and software to label parcels for postage

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of quality control processes and materials handling techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, aiding in troubleshooting equipment as necessary.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
