Remuneration

£45,000+ basic, plus commission £10,000+ per year is achievable

Sealane Freight is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join our energetic and experienced Sales Team.

If you have previous sales experience, a strong interest in commerce and want to challenge yourself, then working for Sealane Freight is the opportunity you have been seeking.

Sealane Freight is part of a privately owned group of 7 different businesses, all principally involved in logistics. Group turnover 2024/2025 was £135.3m. We are an established, financially credible, UK, family-owned company trading since 1983, employing just 280 staff.

Main function of the job

The principal function of this senior sales role is the acquisition and development of new business. This will be achieved through verbal and written engagement.

When the client is active you will also be responsible for nurturing and maximising the potential of the account.

Working alongside the Sales Manager, the Senior Sales Executive will:

- Consistently maintain a level of 75+ targeted new business calls per week.

- Build strong personal relationships with new and existing clients.

- Negotiate with clients and suppliers.

- Submit quotes, overcome objections and devise conversion strategies to win business.

- Talking clients through the customs formalities required to ship goods into and from the European Union.

- Account management and potentially client/prospect visiting.

- Attend and present in a weekly sales meeting

- Assist with Company marketing projects, for example LinkedIn posts, marketing literature, e-shots

Working Environment

New modern 9000 sq ft office in St. Albans

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful candidate must have:

Proven Business to Business (B2B) sales experience.
Freight industry experience would be an advantage but not essential.
Sold products or services to markets outside the UK (would help but not essential).
A friendly, engaging telephone manner..
An energetic, enthusiastic personality.
Able to work to deadlines.
Innovate and problem solve.
Strong negotiating skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work with and support your colleagues.
