Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality sandwiches and other menu items in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, customer service, and food safety standards. The successful applicant will be a team player with a passion for delivering exceptional service and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.

Duties

Prepare a variety of sandwiches and other food items according to company standards and recipes
Serve customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food preparation area in compliance with food safety regulations
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and hygiene procedures
Assist in opening or closing duties as required, including cleaning and sanitising equipment and work surfaces

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or within a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and inventory checks
Experience in serving customers with professionalism and courtesy
Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
