Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hardworking, organised, punctual and proactive Retail Supervisor with a strong work ethic to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent supervision, customer service, till work, cash handling, cash reconciliation/cashing up, key holder responsibilities, maintaining the sales floor, stock replenishment, and supporting daily store operations.

This role is within a fast paced retail environment, management experience and flexibility is essential, you must be avaliable to work until 11pm.

Applications without MANAGEMENT experience will be automatically rejected.

Duties

Taking responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager
Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and restocking shelves as needed
Provide product information and upselling suggestions to maximise sales opportunities
Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
Ensure a tidy and accessible environment
Assist in visual displays and promotional activities to enhance store presentation
Manage time effectively to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled shifts
Maintain excellent communication with team members to ensure smooth store operations

Skills

Fluency in English
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts
Organisational skills to manage stock levels and maintain store appearance
Time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods
Upselling techniques to promote products and increase sales volume at the tills
Merchandising knowledge to create appealing product displays
Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating organisational skills and adaptability

This role will play a vital part in ensuring our customers enjoy a positive shopping experience while supporting the overall success of the store.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.01 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
