Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant and hospitality environments. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the venue.

Responsibilities

Manage front of house operations, including greeting guests, seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth flow of service.
Supervise and coordinate team members, including serving staff, hosts, and baristas, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee food preparation and presentation standards to ensure quality and consistency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all front of house activities.
Assist in organising reservations, manage guest enquiries, and handle complaints professionally.
Support team members with training in food production, serving techniques, and hospitality best practices.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the front of house area to uphold high standards of appearance and safety.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house teams.
Monitor stock levels for service areas and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service that enhances guest experience.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Experience in restaurant service, including serving guests efficiently and professionally.
Familiarity with culinary practices, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
Previous hotel or barista experience is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests alike.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
