Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking adynamic and results driven National Sales Manager to lead the sales strategy and execution for our premium range of Traditional Lanterns, targeting the electrical wholesale market across the UK. This is a pivotal role in driving growth, building strong relationships with wholesalers, and positioning our lighting products as the preferred choice for quality and authenticity.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet organisational objectives
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and team targets
Identify new business opportunities and expand the organisation’s client base
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform sales approaches
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management
Conduct performance reviews, training sessions, and coaching for team members
Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns that support sales initiatives
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a national sales strategy to grow market share withing our existing electrical wholesale accounts
Build and maintain strong relationships with key electrical wholesalers, buying groups, and distributors
Identify new opportunities, onboard new wholesale partners, and expand product reach across regions
Champion the unique features and heritage appeal of our well established UK manufactured lantern range through presentations, trade shows, and customer visits
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform product development and sales tactics
Provide regular performance reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management

Requirements

Proven track record in national sales management, ideally within the electrical wholesale or lighting industry
Strong understanding of the wholesale distribution model and buying group dynamics
Passion for traditional products and ability to communicate their value effectively
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel nationally and attend industry events
Self-motivated, strategic thinker with hands-on approach

Desirable

Existing relationships within the UK electrical wholesale network
Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
