Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman/woman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a broad skill set in building trades to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment. The position is paid and suitable for those who take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out carpentry tasks including repairs, installations, and modifications
Conduct roofing repairs and maintenance to ensure structural integrity
Perform construction painting to enhance property aesthetics and protection
Handle plumbing repairs such as leak fixes, pipe replacements, and fixture installations
Execute masonry work including bricklaying, pointing, and concrete repairs
Undertake welding tasks for metal fabrication and repairs
Apply electrical experience for basic wiring, fixture replacements, and troubleshooting
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete various tasks
Fabricate custom components or modifications as required for specific projects
Inspect work areas to identify issues and ensure safety compliance
Maintain organised workspaces and ensure all tools are properly stored after use

Requirements

Experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is highly desirable
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for daily tasks
Ability to perform fabrication work with precision and attention to detail
Own your own tools.
Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights when necessary
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to repairs and maintenance tasks
Valid relevant trade certifications or licences are advantageous but not mandatory
A commitment to safety standards and adherence to health and safety regulations
