Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a vibrant restaurant environment, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, along with a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are strictly followed
Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including tables, service stations, and dining spaces
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required to support team operations
Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Process payments accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
Familiarity with serving procedures and guest service standards is beneficial
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions confidently
Experience in kitchen environments or culinary roles can be an asset but is not mandatory
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to handle busy service periods effectively
