Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to operate various tools and machinery. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the visual appeal and health of our green spaces.

Responsibilities

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and hedge cutters safely and effectively.
Use hand tools for planting, digging, weeding, and other gardening activities.
Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality
Conduct routine maintenance of gardening equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance
Monitor plant health, identify pests or diseases, and implement appropriate treatment measures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to garden machinery and power tools.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as spades, rakes, pruners, and secateurs.
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
Strong understanding of horticultural practices and plant care.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor spaces.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture or landscaping are desirable but not essential.
