Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, providing a vital link in our supply chain. The position is paid and suitable for those who enjoy working independently and managing time effectively.

Duties

Safely operate a company van to deliver packages and goods to designated addresses within the scheduled timeframe
Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
Assist with loading and unloading items, including heavy lifting when necessary
Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed off by recipients
Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, often involving bulky or heavy items
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
Good organisational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
