Children & Families Worker

Warwickshire Young People’s Service
Based in Rugby | Countywide Role

Warwickshire is a county full of diverse communities, strengths and opportunities, but like many areas, some children, young people and families are facing increasingly complex challenges around emotional wellbeing, trauma, substance misuse and vulnerability. At Change Grow Live, our Warwickshire Young People’s Service is committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed and relationship-led support that helps young people feel safe, heard and empowered to make positive changes in their lives. Working within our CYP service means becoming part of a passionate and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team that believes in early intervention, whole-family approaches and creating meaningful, lasting impact for young people across the county. It is a service where innovation, collaboration and genuine care sit at the heart of everything we do — supporting not only the young people and families we work with, but also the people who work alongside us.

That is why we are looking for a passionate and emotionally intelligent Children & Families Worker to join our Warwickshire Young People’s Service.

This is more than a support role. It is an opportunity to help families rebuild trust, strengthen resilience and create healthier futures for children and young people across Warwickshire.

Where: Warwickshire

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities:

About the role:

You will work directly with children, young people and families affected by substance misuse, adversity and wider vulnerabilities, delivering trauma-informed and whole-family support that genuinely makes a difference.

You will build trusted relationships with young people and families, helping them navigate challenges, access support and move towards safer, healthier and more hopeful futures.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with schools, social care, healthcare professionals and wider partner agencies to ensure young people receive the right support at the right time.

This is a role for someone who is compassionate but resilient. Someone who can remain curious, calm and hopeful even when situations are complex.

About you:

We are looking for someone who:

Believes in the potential of children, young people and families
Builds trust through empathy, authenticity and consistency
Understands the impact of trauma, safeguarding and hidden harm
Is confident working within complex multi-agency environments
Can balance compassion with professional curiosity and clear boundaries
Wants to be part of a service that is ambitious, reflective and continuously evolving

Experience working within family support, safeguarding, substance misuse, youth work, emotional wellbeing or related services would be highly beneficial.

What we will give to you:

25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays. Additionally, you'll receive one extra day of annual leave for each year of service during your first five years, therefore you will enjoy 30 days of leave after five years with us.
Paid ‘Wellbeing’ hour each week along with a ‘Wellness’ hub and Employee Assist Programme
