Full job description

Cardiff bus are looking to take you on your next career journey. You could become one of the highest paid Bus Drivers in our region as we look to expand our community of dedicated drivers.

If you are, passionate, have a flair for customer service, like to meet new people and love to drive then this is the job for you.

Whether you’re a qualified Bus Driver or want to become one, our dedicated in-house Training Academy, are ready to welcome you to our team and teach you everything you need to know.

This is a full-time permanent position working 39 hours a week, your shifts can fall any day of the week including bank holidays and you are required to be fully flexible Monday to Sunday.

Salary

Training hourly rate of £13.34

Qualified hourly rate of £15.00

Enhanced rates on the weekend of up to £19.07

The role

We are looking for people with a full UK Drivers Licence, with passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will also be required to,

Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely manner

Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.

Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus.

Collect fares and issue tickets or receipts as necessary.

Communicate with passengers in a professional and courteous manner.

Follow designated routes and schedules.

What you need

Hold a full UK drivers’ licence for at least 12 months.

Have no more than 6 Points (all driving offences must be disclosed at application stage)

Must be a regular confident driver.

Familiar with the Cardiff area

Previous experience as a bus driver, delivery driver, or van driver is preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations

Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.

Must be reliable and punctual.
