Business Administrator

Are you an organised, proactive administrator with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for a motivated and flexible team player to join our operations team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

In this role, you will work closely with site management, operational personnel, and central customer services to support the smooth running of site administration and SAP-based waste receipt processes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer requirements are met efficiently while maintaining high operational and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with operations, compliance, transport, sales, and customer services teams to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
Carry out a variety of general administrative duties to support site operations.
Communicate with existing clients and third parties to fulfil customer requirements efficiently.
Manage and maintain site SAP administration processes.
Support operational, production, and engineering administration, including ordering materials and maintaining SAP records.
Act as the key link between customer services, transport, and site operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
Complete month-end procedures accurately and within deadlines.
Assist with maintaining site management systems, including document control and data preparation.
Log Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist with investigations, resolutions, filing, and communication with relevant teams.
Support the preparation of SHEQ data for quarterly and annual reviews.
Ensure customer and Environment Agency reporting requirements are met, including tracking waste movements and preparing accurate submissions.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A flexible and collaborative team-player attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent organisational and telephone skills.
Professional and confident manner when representing the company.

Desirable Skills

Previous experience using SAP systems.
Prior administrative experience within an operational or industrial environment.
