About Us

Hamilton Graham is an established, independent firm of Estate Agents in Steyning. We provide a professional and effective service in the sales and lettings of residential and commercial property. We are a small, experienced and friendly team located in the Old Town Hall on Steyning high street.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our residential lettings team as a Part-Time Lettings Administrator to support our Lettings Manager in the daily operation of our lettings portfolio. The right candidate will be proactive, organised and friendly and have some knowledge of the residential lettings sector but be ready and willing to learn about how we do things - full training will be provided. They need to be confident and professional when interacting with our landlord clients, tenants and contractors.

Details of the Role:

Part-time, permanent
From £14 per hour
15-20 hours per week over a minimum of 3 days (we can offer flexibility on days and times)
Working hours will be between Monday to Friday (no Saturdays)
The role is office-based

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Preparing various documentation such as tenancy agreements, notices and particulars
Arranging viewing appointments with potential tenants
Coordinating tenant move ins/outs which includes managing pre-tenancy maintenance
Registering deposits with the Deposit Protection Service
Working with our long-standing contractors to ensure property maintenance repairs are carried out in a timely manner
Ensuring properties are fully compliant with safety certificates and up-to-date alarms
Occasionally helping out with other areas of the business (we are a small team)

The right candidate will have:

Excellent written communication skills with good attention to detail
Previous experience within lettings/property is ideal but not essential
A sensible, can-do approach with the ability to multi-task
Professional and friendly phone manner
GCSEs in English and Maths Grade B/5 or above
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
Accurate typing skills
Full and clean UK Driving Licence and use of own car
