Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a passion for farming, with the ability to perform a variety of tasks essential for maintaining the farm's operations. This role involves both physical labour and technical skills, making it suitable for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have an interest in agriculture.

Duties

Provide care for livestock, including some milking, ensuring their health and well-being through proper feeding and handling.
Operate and maintain farm equipment, ensuring all machinery is in good working order.
Perform minor equipment repairs as necessary, utilising hand tools and power tools effectively.
Assist with harvesting crops
Conduct general inspections of animals to identify any issues or areas needing attention.
Carry out heavy lifting tasks associated with moving supplies, produce, or equipment around the farm.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote safety and efficiency.
Apply basic maths skills for measuring quantities of feed, fertilisers, or other materials.
Other general farm duties

Experience
While previous experience in farming or agricultural work is advantageous, it is not essential. Candidates should ideally have:

Some mechanical knowledge to assist in the maintenance of farm machinery.
Familiarity with farming practices and techniques related to crop production.
A willingness to learn new skills related to animal care and crop management.
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range stated is dependent on experience so may be varied for the right candidate.

Hours will vary over the year to accommodate busy periods, and overtime is paid. Weekly hours can also be adjusted to accommodate needs.

Accommodation is available with the role, if required, by way of onsite caravan. Alternatively an accommodation allowance may be available.
