About the role:
This is a central role within the business, acting as the hub that keeps everything running smoothly. You will support day-to-day operations while also helping convert incoming enquiries into sales. You will work closely with the owner & marketing to play a key role in ensuring customers have a great experience from first contact through to delivery.
The focus of this role
· Keeping the operation running smoothly and efficiently
· Ensuring no enquiries or opportunities are missed
· Supporting customers from initial contact through to order completion
· Creating structure, organisation and consistency in day-to-day activity
What you will be doing:
- Handling incoming enquiries via phone, email and WhatsApp, providing excellent first-line support
- Preparing quotations and following up to convert them into orders
- Processing orders, purchase orders and invoices (Sage experience helpful)
- Coordinating with suppliers and couriers to ensure smooth delivery of orders
- Supporting our marketing activity across our ecommerce website and social media channels, helping ensure content, products and messaging are accurate and consistent
- Providing light account management support to the sales function, including following up enquiries and supporting ongoing customer relationships
- Managing stock-related admin and supporting inventory processes
- Resolving customer queries quickly and effectively
- Keeping systems, paperwork and communication organised and up to date
- Supporting the rollout of new products through operational coordination
You will come with:
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach - you naturally stay on top of multiple tasks and keep things moving
- Confidence communicating with customers, particularly over the phone, with a clear and professional manner
- A level of commercial awareness, you understand the importance of following up enquiries and helping turn them into sales
- Reliability and consistency - you take ownership of your work and follow things through to completion without letting them drop
- The ability to work independently in a flexible, trust-based environment where you are expected to manage your own time
- A practical, hands-on mindset, you are happy to get involved across different areas of the business where needed
- An enjoyment of variety and problem-solving, rather than purely repetitive admin work
