Fitter / General Mechanic – Plant & Tool Repairs

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fitter / General Mechanic to join our team.

This role involves the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of a wide range of plant equipment, tools, and customer-owned machinery. The position is suited to someone with strong all-round mechanical experience who can work independently and troubleshoot effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Repair and maintenance of plant equipment and tools
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs
Service and upkeep of workshop equipment
Customer tool and equipment repairs
General workshop duties and preventative maintenance
Maintain a safe and organised work environment
On- site breakdowns and repairs

Requirements

Full Uk Driving License
Minimum 5 years’ experience in general mechanics or fitting
Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and general plant equipment
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Preferred but Not Essential

Trade qualification in fitting, mechanics, or related field
Welding or fabrication experience

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
