CARETAKER / SITE SUPERVISOR – PART TIME

Peterborough & Surrounding Areas | 30 Hours Per Week | Permanent

Are you a hands-on, self-motivated individual looking for a role that fits around your life? We're hiring a Caretaker / Site Supervisor to join our growing team, based in Peterborough with occasional cover across surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety in their day, and wants a reliable, permanent role with a supportive team behind them.

The Role

Working 30 hours per week, you'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of our self storage facilities ensuring sites are opened on time, well-maintained, and delivering a great experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations

Open and prepare the site each shift, ensuring everything is ready for customers on time
Carry out daily health & safety checks and sign these off digitally via tablet or smartphone

Customer Service

Be the friendly, professional first point of contact for customer queries and transactions
Build positive customer relationships and handle feedback or complaints with confidence
Escalate issues appropriately when required

Maintenance & Facilities

Inspect storage units before and after rentals and prepare them for incoming customers
Identify and log maintenance issues using our management software
Carry out general maintenance duties and upkeep to keep the site in top condition
Implement and uphold company Health & Safety policies at all times

What we are looking for

Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, or site supervisor role
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
Solid understanding of health & safety practices
Comfortable using a tablet or smartphone for daily reporting
Strong organisational skills & able to manage workload with minimal supervision
Good literacy and numeracy skills
A proactive, flexible, and personable approach to work
A team player who understands the importance of great customer service

Package

Salary: £21,013.20 per annum (pro-rata from a full-time equivalent of £26,226.50)
Permanent, part-time contract — 30 hours per week
No Sundays or Bank Holidays
