Full job description

Old Sarum Manor is a , luxury, purpose-built home that has all the equipment and furnishings you'd expect and more in a new home.

Elmfield Care is a small but vibrant group looking after our Aged and Dementia community. We have great residents and team, of which we are looking to grow with caring, professional and passionate people who enjoy their role and bring smiles and laughter into the home; In exchange we'll give you excellent training, competitive salary, and a fantastic workplace.

Key Responsibilities

·Participate and contribute to planning a structured activity timetable designed around resident’s requirements, desires and choice. With a focus on Person Centred care and Delivery

·Have awareness of residents individual choices and life history to base pertinent activities within the weekly plan.

·Ensure the home has the relevant resources to deliver the activities.

·Work closely with the Senior Lifestyle Assistant and Deputies to support the planned activities.

·Motivate, coach and encourage all team members to embrace, deliver and take part in activities throughout the home. Helping everyone to understand the importance in the day to day of our residents.

·Ensure the areas for activities are well stocked and maintained.

·Working closely with the Senior Lifestyle Assistant, you will arrange and organise a monthly event in the home.

·Record all resident accurately in the daily progress notes.

·Be a liaison to the local community to maintain a positive status in the community.

·Liaise with the Senior Lifestyle Assistant to help ensure all residents have a voice and input to the running of the homes activity timetable.

·Bring an element of fun to the day for residents and staff.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Always present a compassionate and professional image.

- You are kind, warm, and compassionate person with a “can- do” attitude.

- Have knowledge around safeguarding, whistleblowing.

- Able to support, guide and lead by good example.

- Have ability to plan and prioritise workloads with an eye for details.

- Have excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise, focus and has sense of responsibility and remain calm under pressure.

- Are able to work with health professionals and all other stakeholders.

- Are able to cover the shift on short notice to meet the needs of residents.

- Handle enquiries from residents, visitors, and relatives and act appropriately in emergency situations.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24.5 per week

The role is what you make it, is Permanent, 24.5 hours per week on a 3 days on/3 days off shift basis, which also allows for 9 days holiday with only 3 days off.
