Introduction

Premier Seeds Direct was started in 2007 borne out of the frustration with large seed growers, providing limited selections, poor quality and restrictive pricing. The business has grown to be one of the most dependable on-line seed retailers in the industry and has a small team of 18 people based in a business unit in Wilton just outside Salisbury

About the job

We are looking for Maternity Cover for our Digital Marketing & Social Media Executive to lead our digital marketing and social media efforts. You will work closely with Phil and Zoe the Directors of the business to develop and execute our digital marketing and social media strategy. Working alongside our Content Creator Apprentice in the content required across all platforms and different formats as will be needed to execute the agreed strategy.

Responsibilities

· Website management: incl. optimising content for conversion, creating seasonal content, adding new information and products, creating new pages and categories, optimising menus and A/B testing various strategies to increase conversion across the site

· Direct Mail, responsible for the execution of our direct mail campaigns. Developing our direct mail strategy and measuring performance.

· Social Media, develop and execute our social media strategy, across Instagram and Facebook, to grow our social media following.

· Data Analytics, reviewing website performance using GA4, and using the data to drive optimisations and campaigns.

· Google Ads: overseeing our Google Ad’s campaigns and optimising them

Key tools you will work with are:

- Woo Commerce / Word Press

- MailChimp

- Google Suite (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads)

- Meta Suite

- Sweet Analytics

In addition, we are working with the Hammersley Brothers on e-commerce growth, through the programme you will get access to training on optimisation of e-commerce, as well as identification of improvements across the site

What are we looking for?

We are looking for maternity cover for 9-12mths, however, given our growth it is possible this could evolve into a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have a positive can-do attitude that wants to get stuck into this opportunity, to learn and grow with the business.

· 2+ yrs experience in Digital Marketing (preferably in a B2C / e-com business) managing websites

· Experience managing social media

· Experience with data analytics (GA4)

· Strong communication and writing skills

· Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

· Knowledge of gardening / growing is not essential but an interest in this area would help
