Full job description

We’re looking for an experienced Site Agent to support the successful delivery of civil engineering and rail projects. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys managing site operations, leading teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Location: Amesbury (near Solstice Park)
Travel: Travel required to project sites (primarily within the M25 area)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: [Add if permanent/FTC]
Salary: DOE
Start: ASAP

What you’ll be doing

Managing site operations to deliver projects in line with programme, budget and client expectations
Overseeing health & safety, quality and environmental standards on site
Supervising site teams and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient delivery
Supporting project planning, including risk assessments, method statements and permits
Ensuring compliance with specifications, inspection and testing requirements
Managing site documentation, records and reporting (e.g. diaries, progress updates)
Liaising with clients, designers and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain progress
Planning resources, materials and plant in line with programme requirements
Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring CDM compliance

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in a Construction Manager or Site Agent role
Background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of health & safety and site compliance requirements
Confident leadership and people management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both on site and with clients
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Desirable

Experience working within the rail sector
Knowledge of Network Rail requirements and standards
Relevant safety qualifications (SMSTS or equivalent)
Experience managing subcontractors and complex site operations
