Full job description

Start Date – ASAP

Do you have a passion for beer & enjoy interacting with people? Then we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for a part-time bar supervisor for our beautiful little pub in Salisbury.

We are offering between 15 and 18 hours per week which will be broken down in to short shifts. The shift pattern will be either 2.30pm until 6/7pm or 6/7pm until 11.30pm (candidates must be willing to be available for a mixture of the two). You must be comfortable with working alone. We have plenty of lovely regulars to keep you company but most shifts will involve lone trading.

Weekend availability is essential.

Responsibilities include

- Most importantly, making our customers feel welcome. We want you to converse with the clientele. Chat about the beer. Chat about life. We don't want you to be a robot. We very much need friendly humans behind the bar.

- Ensuring that all licensing requirements are met at all times.

- Dealing with any issues that may arise during the shift and ensuring these are handled in a professional manner.

- Maintaining the cleanliness of the pub.

- Informing customers of different beers available (14 on draft, 2 on cask, plus lots of cans and bottles) and helping them choose which they may like. We encourage you to try the products so you can give informed advice.

- Setting up/closing down the bar areas to a high standard.

- Cash handling.

- Interested in learning more about the brewing process & passionate about great beer.

- Great attention to detail & high cleanliness standards.

- Friendly & welcoming.

- Reliable & trustworthy.

- Evening and weekend availability.

- Enthusiastic.

You will be paid hourly (between £12.71 and £13.50 per hour depending on experience). Other benefits include regular discounts on beer & merch, regular team nights out.
