Prep Technician

Vertu Honda Plymouth
Salary: Up to £35,720 basic + bonus
41 hours per week

Join Vertu Honda Plymouth and take the next step in your automotive career as a Prep Technician, working with a supportive team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

About the Role

As a Prep Technician / Vehicle Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vehicles are prepared to the highest standards before delivery. You’ll carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on both new and used vehicles, ensuring they meet manufacturer guidelines and are ready for handover.

Key responsibilities include:

Completing PDIs on new and used vehicles
Working efficiently to meet agreed timeframes and productivity targets
Delivering high-quality workmanship and first-time fixes
Following manufacturer guidelines and compliance standards
Contributing to an outstanding customer experience through quality and care

✅ What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Level 2/3 qualification in Automotive (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Prep Technician
Your own tools
A full UK driving licence
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
