About the role

It’s time for a new challenge – and we want you to join us!

We are seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced Practical Skills Tutor to join our Sport team to lead our Female Basketball programme. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development and delivery of our female basketball programme, creating a high-performance and inclusive environment for student-athletes.

As a Practical Skills Tutor, you will plan and deliver high-quality basketball coaching sessions, supporting the technical, tactical, physical and personal development of learners. You will lead training and competition activity, helping students to progress within basketball while also achieving their academic goals.

You will work closely with academic colleagues to integrate practical coaching with theoretical learning, ensuring students develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to meet industry standards and progress into employment or further study.

You will also be responsible for maintaining basketball facilities and equipment, promoting safe working practices, and contributing to College promotional activities such as open events and recruitment initiatives.
