Full job description

Dispatch Operative – 4 Day Week (Fast-Paced Picking & Packing Role)
Location: Howden (DN14 7XF)
Company: Sticky Baits Limited
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent

Working pattern

4 days per week
Shift: 8:00am – 6:30pm (includes lunch break)
Overtime paid at time + ⅓
Regular overtime available, particularly during peak periods

This role suits individuals who enjoy working in a fast-moving environment, staying active throughout the day, and working towards team targets, with the added benefit of an extra day off each week.

About the role

Sticky Baits Limited manufactures and distributes fishing bait products across the UK and internationally.

We are recruiting Dispatch Operatives to join our busy picking and packing department. This is a hands-on, fast-paced warehouse role, and we are looking for reliable, motivated individuals who take pride in accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently
Pack orders securely to company standards
Label and prepare parcels for dispatch
Check products and quantities against order sheets
Work towards daily picking and packing targets
Assist with stock movement and warehouse organisation
Maintain cleanliness and safety within the dispatch area
Follow company procedures and instructions carefully

Role requirements

This role involves:

Standing and moving for extended periods of time
Repetitive manual tasks
Working at pace to meet deadlines and targets
Manual handling duties
Working in a busy warehouse environment

Applicants should:

Have strong attention to detail and accuracy
Be reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
Be motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
Enjoy working towards targets and deadlines
Be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Have a positive and proactive approach to work
Have a good understanding of spoken and written English (for safety and training purposes)

Previous experience in picking, packing, warehouse, or dispatch work is beneficial but not essential.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
