Job Title: Shift Maintenance Electrician

Location: Goodwin Steel Castings, Ivy House Foundry, Hanley, Stoke on Trent, ST1 3NR
Salary: £48,000 - £70,000 + Pension + Bonus + Overtime
Shift Pattern: 4 week rotation (Days, Noons, Nights and weekends )

About the Role:

Are you a skilled Maintenance Electrician looking for a role that offers variety, growth, and opportunities to work in a dynamic heavy industry environment? Join our team and become part of a workforce that thrives on delivering excellence in every task, from electrical installations and panel modifications to fault finding and repairs.

This is a hands-on position working across various electrical systems including overhead cranes, motors, 230V, and 400V circuits. You will play a crucial role in keeping our operation running smoothly by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving electrical issues quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical installation and modification work.
Fault finding and repairs on electrical panels.
Troubleshooting and working on 400V AC and 24V DC control systems.
Diagnosing and repairing 400V motors.
Working with overhead cranes and handling motor replacements.
Reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety standards.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Must have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or higher.
Ideally have completed a full electrical apprenticeship.
Proficient in reading electrical drawings.
Strong ability to fault find on 400V AC systems and 24V DC controls.
Experience with 400V motors.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills (Training Provided If Needed):

Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) fault finding and programming.
PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
HV switching certification.
