Full job description

We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to cover sickness and absence leave.

The ideal candidate will be able to maintain an efficient workflow, be familiar with medical terminology and navigate multiple computer databases with ease.

The medical receptionist is responsible for taking patient information, scheduling appointments and answering phone calls, so we are looking for an individual who is courteous, efficient and personable. Must be a team player.

Responsibilities:

Answer and screen incoming calls.
Answer questions and problems from both patients and physicians.
Answer phones courteously and quickly.
Greet customers with a smile.
Provide information to clinicians in a clear and accurate manner.
Admin duties, including scanning, data loading, emails, responding to patients queries.
Have good interpersonal skill, and be able to handle difficult customer service situations.
Dealing with repeat prescriptions and queries.

Hours of work are between 8am and 8.30pm.

Must have a minimum of 2 years practice experience.
