Little Explorers Eastry opened its doors in January 2025, is owned by two qualified teachers and managed by an experienced team who are passionate about giving children the very best start in life. We are now looking to expand our fabulous, nursery team and have a range of qualified practitioner and leadership roles available.
We care for children from 3 months to 11 years old, offering both nursery care and wraparound care for school-aged children. Our setting includes a fantastic building and an exciting outdoor space designed to inspire exploration, learning, and creativity.
Successful candidates will possess a genuine love for working with children and experience working in a nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals committed to fostering developmental growth and creating positive learning experiences within a supportive setting.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality childcare and educational activities tailored to the needs of individual children
Lead and supervise nursery staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to policies (leadership roles only)
Plan, organise, and evaluate age-appropriate learning programmes that promote early childhood development
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents regularly
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and safeguarding regulations
Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and training initiatives
Requirements:
Proven experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting
Strong management and leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate a team (leadership role only)
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and early childhood development principles
Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
Valid driving licence is desirable for outings
Relevant childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator) or equivalent qualification
A caring attitude combined with organisational skills and professionalism
Availability to work between the hours of 7:45am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (not all day, every day) all year round, not term time only.

Please only apply if you hold a Level 3 qualification or above, as we are currently only recruiting qualified staff due to the amount of staff we have training. Rates of pay are negotiable based on experience. If you are interested in a senior role with more responsibility and higher pay, please let us know.
Pay: £13.10-£15.00 per hour
