We are hiring!

Penally Abbey is an independently run 12-bedroom multi award winning boutique hotel by the sea in South Pembrokeshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to become part of our small Housekeeping team at cosy, boutique and family run hotel overlooking the sea near Tenby.

We have a 2 AA rosette restaurant called Rhosyn and we are included in the 2025 Michelin Guide. As a hotel and restaurant we have 3 AA Red stars.

We were also awarded the following:

Responsibilities:

Ensuring all bedrooms, bathrooms and public spaces at the hotel are fresh, clean and ready for guests arriving and guests staying.
Working quickly and efficiently without disturbing guests.
Closely following all safety and sanitation procedures throughout the hotel.
Working closely with the hotel reception team to ensure guest requests are met and their expectations exceeded.
Liaising with reception to let them know when rooms are ready for check-ins.
Assisting all departments within the hotel to maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness.
Laundry duties including cleaning, drying and pressing all linen.
Ensuring all laundry machinery is well looked after and used safely.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and energetic person to join our housekeeping team.

Essential:

Fantastic organisational skills
Excellent communication within a team – the role requires working closely with both the reception team and to ensure guest requests are carried out.
A good problem solver and have great initiative to sort out any issues that may arise.
Very reliable and responsible
Strong attention to detail
Hardworking

Experience:

Previous housekeeping experience is essential.

A strong work ethic, a can-do attitude and someone who thrives in an environment where attention to detail is important is crucial for the role.

Penally Abbey is located just 5 minutes from Tenby in the pretty little village of Penally.

Share of tronc

Hours:

16-24 hours per week between 8.30am and approximately 2.30-3.00pm.

Will include weekends.

Shifts: usually from 8.30am - 3pm

Pay: £12.71-£14.21 per hour
