Grounds Maintenance Workers
The Henson Leisure Group is a prominent provider of private leisure and holiday parks located across West and South West Wales. We have been welcoming holidaymakers to our parks for over a decade and our parks are known for their high standards of care and attention to detail. As a result of expansion we now have new opportunities for experienced Grounds Maintenance Workers to join our team.
Location: Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, UK – with some travel to other Parks within the Group
Hours: 5/6 days per week, including bank holidays and some weekend working during the holiday season.
Overview
This role is essential in ensuring that our outdoor spaces are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe for all users. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance, coupled with practical experience in groundskeeping.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance of gardens and landscaped areas, including mowing, trimming, and weeding.
- Dig, build, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees to enhance the overall appearance of the grounds.
- Irrigate plants and lawns as required to ensure healthy growth.
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify areas needing attention or repair.
- Support the Grounds Maintenance team with maintenance works around our Parks
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects as needed.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.
- Maintain equipment used in groundskeeping, ensuring it is in good working order.
Experience
- Previous experience in garden maintenance or groundskeeping desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to enable effective operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Previous experience in siting caravans and / or laying decking would be an advantage
