Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly those interested in food preparation and culinary arts.

Duties
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Support chefs with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies, ensuring that all items are correctly labelled and stored at appropriate temperatures.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the kitchen, including proper sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Assist in other duties as required by the head chef or kitchen manager.

Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.

There will be some weekend working on a rota basis
