Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and quality standards. Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support senior chefs in food production, ensuring timely delivery of all menu items
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment
Follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols at all times
Supervise and manage food portions to minimise waste while maintaining quality
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
Contribute to menu planning and development by providing creative ideas and feedback
Serve dishes with professionalism, ensuring presentation meets our high standards

Experience

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety regulations
Proven ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating leadership qualities when necessary
Experience supervising or managing team members is advantageous but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings will be highly regarded
