Full job description

We are a well‑established legal office seeking a Legal Administrator to support our busy Trust Team. This role is ideal for LLB students, HND Legal Services students, or early‑career legal professionals who want to gain practical experience in a private‑client environment. No prior legal experience is required — full training will be provided.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and organisational support to the Trust Team, working closely with senior colleagues and partner solicitors. This position offers hands‑on exposure to trust and estate administration, making it an excellent starting point for those interested in private client law, trusts, or legal office administration.

Key Responsibilities

File Administration — Opening, organising, updating, and closing trust‑related client files
Document Production — Preparing, formatting, and proofreading documents such as:
Wills
Powers of Attorney
Trust schedules and supporting paperwork
Client Communication — Handling routine enquiries, arranging appointments, and issuing correspondence
Team Support — Assisting solicitors and senior staff with administrative tasks to ensure smooth workflow
Record‑Keeping — Maintaining accurate digital and paper records in line with compliance requirements
General Office Duties — Scanning, copying, filing, data entry, and preparing bundles or information packs

About You

Currently studying or recently completed LLB, HND Legal Services, or another legal‑related qualification (preferred but not essential)
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
Confident written and verbal communication
Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a busy environment
Professional, discreet, and client‑focused
Keen to learn and develop within a legal setting
