*Job Overview*
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor / Steel Fabricator & Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations while carrying out steel fabrication and welding work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities and workforce.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within specifications.
- Assemble and fabricate metal components using various welding techniques
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production
-Conduct site inspections and enforce health and safety procedures.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively
- Conduct MIG welding and other welding processes as required
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot fabrication and installation issues on-site
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Requirements
-Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent welding and fabrication skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices.
- Valid driving licence (preferred).
- Relevant welding/fabrication certifications are advantageous.
Desirable
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Valid CSCS Certification
- First Aid at Work certification
- IPAF & PASMA Certification
- Experience managing structural steel installation projects
